What the day looks like

An ice day runs like a rock day, with a few changes for winter. The pre-trip email goes into clothing in more detail, and a packing list for ice comes with it. Expect extra layers, and sometimes a hot drink at lunch.

More time goes into fitting crampons at the start, and everyone goes through a gear check before climbing. After that, climbing and instruction take turns through the day, set around what you want to learn.

For what to bring, where to meet and how the weather call is made, see Your day.
